I am not a black coffee drinker, so I can't attest to that. But I add a little vanilla or Bailey's Irish creamer and I'm happy. It makes for really good home brewed coffee.

This is the first purchase of San Marcos coffee and we ordered because of all the rave reviews. We were not disappointed. My husband's first comment after a sip, ""WOW! That's good!""

This was the first one I tried. The amaretto flavoring is my favorite but it really balances out with the kahlue taste. I added in a vanilla flavored creamer and it was better than any coffee house flavor I've experienced.
